EXPERIENCE
One of my biggest passions is singing! I have been singing as long as I've been talking and I've been able to turn a hobby into a profession as well! I've had the opportunity to sing at my church since I was 12 years old and have been singing for special music and collaborating with the Worship Band on leading praise songs as well. I have also been fortunate enough to sing at numerous weddings and funerals. I am a musician as well as a singer, as I play the piano and am working to learn the guitar. I am great at sight-reading and learning music in a short period of time and also collaborating with many other musicians, like choirs, bands, and small-groups!
CHURCH MUSICIAN
I have been performing at my church since I was 12 years old and have been working with the Worship Band for over 6 years. This has been one of the greatest blessings and fantastic experience. I have adapted to quickly learning new music every week and have developed a great sense of sight-reading. I can sing in the choir, solo music, or collaborate with other singers and musicians. I am very open to all types of christian-contemporary music and love connecting with the music to make it my own.
WEDDINGS/FUNERALS
Through being so connected at my church, I began to sing at numerous weddings and funerals both at my church and around the Minneapolis areas. I am very flexible and can learn any music that is requested for these momentous days. I am willing to travel and can sing any genre of music that is preferred for the occasion.
SOLO CONTEMPORARY
Beginning in high school, I started performing locally at Cafe concerts and various opportunities to sing contemporary pop music in the community. I continued this through college, singing a variety of music from singer-songwriter acoustic pop, jazz/blues, musical theater, classical standards, and popular contemporary. I can accompany myself on the piano as well as collaborate with other talented musicians. The thing I love most about contemporary solo singing is picking a setlist that I connect with and spreading emotion through my voice. I also love connecting with the audience and hope I can leave an impact.
A CAPPELLA/CHOIR
I have choral experience beginning when I was in the 2nd grade through my years of college and into my adult life as well. I began discovering my passion for A Cappella when I was a senior in high school and it led me to join the Cadenza A Cappella group at the University of St. Thomas where I became the president for 2 years. I am well versed in leading rehearsals, planning set-lists, organizing concerts, and began to arrange A Cappella arrangements of contemporary pop music.
BAND
Starting in high school, I had the joy of collaborating in a band named Bridge 33. We were hired for gigs at our church, a regional youth gathering in Minnesota, opened for a Jason Grey concert, and we were able to record some original songs in the studio which are released on streaming services. Beyond high school, I started working with numerous musicians with my Worship Band at church and have collaborated on countless Sundays and special events, including being featured on an album of secular music, soon to be on streaming services.
